Can anyone who has replaced the spindle bearings on their 48-inch deck tell me if the original bearings are sealed? I see JD as provided grease fittings on top of the spindle towers, but if the bearings are sealed the grease

When you look at the top and bottom of the spindle after removing the blade and the spindle from the deck, there should be a metal seal housing and retaining washer sitting flush against both bearings.
